There have been big changes at BBC Africa with an expansion of its presence in a number of countries and increased resources for TV and digital.
We’ll be hearing from Solomon Mugera, Regional Editor of BBC Africa, responsible for 12 language services with a weekly audience of 100 million; Lucy Walker, Multimedia Editor; and Nisha Kapur who commissions for a range of new TV programmes covering news, sport, children’s and investigations.
They’ll talk us through the changes at BBC Africa and the best way to pitch ideas across the whole range of their output including Focus on Africa and the languages services.
We’ll also hear more about the shift in editorial focus to give Africans the opportunity to tell their own stories both on BBC Africa and across BBC News.
